Made by Himeno. Yukihira Pot 6-inch / Nakagawa Masashichi Shoten
This is a 6-inch Himenosaku genuine hand-hammered Yukihira pot purchased from Nakagawa Masashichi Shoten.
I am selling it because I have too many pots.
There are signs of use.
Please check the photos and purchase with understanding.
This pot is frequently used for things like miso soup, hard-boiled eggs, and quickly boiling vegetables because it heats well and is lightweight.
Himenosaku is a pot brand created by Juichi Himeno, who runs a hammered pot workshop in Yao, Osaka, now in its third generation.
The hammered pattern, which also looks like a design on the pot, is the mark of metal being hammered and compacted with a mallet to make it strong and durable. Originally soft aluminum becomes very hard after the entire hammering process. Another characteristic of Himenosaku is its 3mm thick plate. While this makes it heavier than thinner pots, it's not noticeable as it's made of aluminum. The thickness also provides excellent heat retention and allows heat to gently cook simmered dishes. Although it is relatively expensive compared to many pressed, lower-priced Yukihira pots, its durability and usability are outstanding.
