About RAW

I started from scratch with no knowledge and began creating iron furniture.
For iron, I spent two years constantly making without selling.
This was because, although I had knowledge of wood, I lacked knowledge of iron and its aging process (especially rust in Okinawa). I questioned whether what I thought was good could actually be sold as a product.
I experimented repeatedly with finishes and used them myself, eventually arriving at black iron.
Black iron is naturally created during the industrial manufacturing process and is a rugged material that showcases the true nature of iron.
It has an oxide film (black rust) on its surface, which does not provide complete rust prevention. However, it lacks the peeling and lifespan issues of paint. I strongly prefer to use natural materials in everyday indoor environments.
Furthermore, RAW's black iron undergoes a process to restore the black iron finish to welded areas and screw holes.
As it takes time to create, each piece is unique and precious. I sincerely hope you will cherish it for a long time.
