This month, I will include a few types of incense from another temple in Kyoto, which I also sell on my site, with a few sticks of each for you to try. Please enjoy the fragrances.

[Toji Temple offers three types of incense: Toji-ko (3,550 yen), Fushin-ko (1,650 yen), and San-Kobo-ko (1,650 yen). Please let us know how many boxes you would like.]

These are original incense sticks from the World Heritage site, Toji Temple in Kyoto. They can only be purchased at Toji Temple. While they are a collaboration with Shoyeido, they are not sold at Shoyeido.

The name Fushin-ko appears to originate from a letter from Kobo Daishi Kukai to Dengyo Daishi Saicho of Mt. Hiei during the Heian period, in which there is a passage expressing gratitude for a gift of incense. We believe these incense sticks can be widely used for various purposes, such as honoring ancestors, as offerings, as return gifts for memorial services, as relaxing incense, or as souvenirs for acquaintances.
