For cats and very small dogs, we select aged, hard branches and peel them to create these toys.

Unlike other products, these are not hollowed out, peeled, or shaved, so many customers have told us how much they appreciate the difference in hardness and how much their pets engage with them!

We've made this a set of two, one pearwood and one zelkova wood, for those who want to try both.

Zelkova (left): approx. 11.7 x 2.5-2.9 cm

Pearwood (right): approx. 14.9 x 2.0-2.5 cm
Approx. 2.6 cm including small branches

Please note that these are amateur measurements, so there may be errors.

Please compare the size with your pet's mouth size and the size of their current stuffed animals or balls.
For pets in the teething stage, male Japanese dogs, and active breeds with strong chewing power, a slightly thicker branch that they can hold will allow them to enjoy it for longer.

Pearwood branches are less likely to have splinters, and the wood shavings after chewing crumble like cork, so they are harmless even if swallowed.
These pearwood branches are peeled one by one and dried for two years in Niigata Prefecture.

As these are amateur handmade items, they are cut with a chainsaw and the small branches are sanded with a belt sander (file). However, please understand that there may be missed spots or cracks/splits due to excessive drying.

Since they are made of wood, your pet's teeth will not be damaged. If you choose the size carefully, there is no risk of injuring their mouth. However, please supervise your pet while they play.

Please refrain from purchasing if your pet has fruit allergies.
