For cats and very small dogs, we select aged, hard branches and peel them to create these toys.

Since we do not hollow out the wood, scrape off the bark, or shave it, we have received many happy comments that the hardness and chewability are different from other products ?

For dogs in the teething stage and strong-chewing Japanese breeds, a thickness that they can just barely hold onto will allow them to enjoy it for a long time.

Pear wood branches are less likely to have splinters sticking out, and the wood shavings after chewing crumble like cork, so they are harmless if swallowed as it is fruit wood.
The bark was peeled one by one from pear branches grown in Niigata Prefecture and naturally dried for over 2 years.

As these are amateur handmade items, although the small branches are shaved with a chainsaw and belt sander (file), please understand that there may be missed spots or cracks/splits due to excessive drying.
As it is wood, their teeth will not be damaged, and if you choose the size carefully, there is no danger of injuring their mouths, but please allow them to play within your sight.
