The purpose of this metal fitting is unclear, but it is likely intended to fit a pipe with an outer diameter of 13mm.
It comes with an anchor, so it should fit snugly when inserted into the pipe.
I tried fitting it onto a pipe, and one of the eight pieces has a slightly crushed anchor ridge, but I believe it is still usable (see photo 8).
The inside of the nut has screw threads, suggesting it is used to connect something.
The material is metal, but it is unclear whether it is stainless steel or plated steel. Each piece weighs 15.6g.
