For cats and very small dogs, we select and peel the bark from aged, hard branches to create these toys.

Unlike other products, we do not hollow out the wood, peel the bark, or shave it, so we have received many happy comments about the hardness and how much dogs take to them!

Please compare the size to your dog's mouth size and the size of their current stuffed animals or balls.
For dogs in their nipping phase, male Japanese dogs, and active breeds with strong chewing power, a thickness that they can just barely grip will allow them to enjoy it for a longer time.

Pear wood branches are less likely to have sharp thorns sticking out, and the wood shavings after chewing crumble like cork, so they are harmless if swallowed.
The bark is peeled one by one from pear branches grown in Niigata Prefecture and dried for two years.

As these are amateur handmade items, they are cut with a chainsaw and the small branches are sanded with a belt sander (file). However, please understand that there may be overlooked imperfections, or cracks and splits due to excessive drying.
As it is made of wood, their teeth will not be damaged, and as long as you choose the size carefully, there is no risk of injuring their mouths. However, please allow your pet to play under your supervision.
Please refrain from use if your dog has fruit allergies.
