For cats and very small dogs, we select aged, hard branches and peel the bark to create these toys.

Unlike other products, we do not hollow out the wood, scrape off the bark, or shave it, so we have received many happy comments about the hardness and how much dogs take to them!

We've made a set of two, one pearwood and one zelkova wood, for those who want to try both.

Zelkova (left): approx. 9.9 x 1.2-1.6 cm

Pearwood (right): approx. 14.3 x 1.3-1.4 cm
Including small branches, approx. 1.5-1.6 cm
Please be careful with sizing as these are thinner and shorter.
Please note that measurements are taken by an amateur and may have errors.

Please compare the size to your dog's mouth size and the size of their current stuffed animals or balls.
For dogs in the nipping stage, male Japanese dogs, and active breeds with strong chewing power, a thickness that they can just barely grip will allow them to enjoy it for a longer time.

Pearwood branches are less likely to have splinters, and the wood shavings after chewing crumble like cork, so they are harmless if swallowed.
The bark is peeled one by one from pearwood branches from Niigata Prefecture and dried for two years.

As these are amateur handmade items, they are cut with a chainsaw and the small branches are sanded with a belt sander (file), but please understand that there may be missed spots or cracks/splits due to excessive drying.
As they are made of wood, teeth will not be damaged, and as long as you choose the size carefully, there is no risk of injuring the inside of the mouth, but please supervise your dog while they play.
Please refrain from use if your dog has fruit allergies.
