For cats and very small dogs, we select aged, hard branches and peel the bark to create these toys.

Unlike other products, these are not hollowed out, peeled, or shaved, so many customers have told us how much they appreciate the difference in hardness and how much their pets engage with them!

We've made a set of two, one pearwood and one zelkova wood, for those who want to try both.

Please note that these are amateur measurements and may have errors.

Please compare the size to your pet's mouth size and the size of their current stuffed animals or balls.
For pets in the nipping phase, Japanese dogs, and active breeds, a thickness that they can just barely hold onto will allow them to enjoy it for a longer time.

Pearwood branches are less likely to have splinters, and the wood shavings after chewing crumble like cork, so they are harmless if swallowed.
The bark is peeled one by one from pear branches from Niigata Prefecture and dried for two years.

These are amateur handmade items. While we cut them with a chainsaw and sand the small branches with a belt sander (file), please understand that there may be missed spots or cracks/splits due to over-drying.
As they are made of wood, their teeth will not be damaged, and as long as you choose the size carefully, there is no risk of injuring their mouths. However, please supervise your pet while they play.
