Made by FISCHEL in the Czech Republic

As a pioneer of bentwood, FISCHEL rapidly grew as the biggest rival to Thonet after their patent expired.
Using the abundant beech wood from the Czech Republic, their advanced steam-bending technique boasted a quality comparable to Thonet's.
This chair, despite being lightweight, has an extremely robust structure, and its current usable condition is a testament to its quality.
The inscription Made in the CZECHOSLOVAK STATE can be confirmed along with the FISCHEL logo.
This is estimated to have been manufactured from shortly after the establishment of the Czechoslovak Republic until around 1938, before World War II.
As this is a rare item, we believe it is worthy of being cherished.
It is sturdy and still usable.
It does not creak when sat upon.
It will be shipped wrapped in bubble wrap and packed in a cardboard box.
