Dismantled a 120cm freshwater aquarium.
Eheim filter and sterilizer lamp have been cleaned as much as possible. Please check the photos carefully before considering purchase.
Shipping is included. Although it was working until now, it is being sold as a junk item to prevent any issues.
How to check the sterilizer lamp's operation:
1. Power and connection check: Ensure the transformer plug (power adapter) is fully inserted into the outlet. Water flow check: Sterilizer lamps can be damaged if left on without water flow, so please ensure the motor or filter is running and water is circulating normally.
2. UV lamp installation and disconnection check: Socket connection: Check if the UV lamp is loose or detached from the unit's socket. Remove the lamp once, check the terminals for rust or dirt, and then reinsert it firmly. O-ring/gasket adhesion: When opening and closing the unit, check that the O-ring (rubber gasket) for water leakage prevention is correctly set.
3. Bulb (lamp) lifespan and replacement: Lamp lifespan: The lifespan of a sterilizer lamp is generally about 3,000 to 4,000 hours of continuous use (approximately 4-5 months). If the lifespan is reached, the bulb may burn out or stop lighting, so replacement is necessary if it has been used for a long time. Lamp blackening: If both ends of the lamp's glass tube are blackened, it has reached the end of its life and needs to be replaced. Precautions: Directly looking at the sterilizer lamp while it is on (glowing) is very dangerous as it can damage your eyes. For models with a clear body that allows light to pass through, check from the surroundings and avoid looking directly into it. If the problem persists after performing the above checks, it is highly likely that parts have deteriorated (e.g., transformer failure) or there is a malfunction with the unit itself.
