REVUE400 S / REVEUENON 38mm f2.8 Included [Tested and Serviced]

This beautiful REVUE400S / REVEUENON 38mm f2.8 is a 35mm rangefinder camera sold by a German mail-order company under the REVUE brand in the 1970s.
Although manufactured by Cosina as an OEM, the REVUE400S is a sister model with the same specifications as the VIVITAR 35EE. (The base unit is the Konica C35E&L).
The REVUE400S is an automatic exposure program EE camera that cannot do time preset. (Supports film speeds from ISO 25 to ISO 400).
It is also equipped with a built-in rangefinder that allows you to manually set the accurate distance to the subject.
Regarding batteries, this camera requires a PX 625 1.35V mercury coin cell. Since its production is prohibited in the EU, you can operate the camera with alternative batteries SR44 or LR44.
Accessories include a Kenko MCSL filter and an aftermarket metal hood.
Camera Condition
There are some scuffs, scratches, and minor peeling of the black paint due to age and use.
The optical system, including the lens, has some dust that cannot be removed, wiping scratches, and traces of mold. This deterioration does not affect actual shooting, and the results are good.
It is a beautiful and practical compact camera with a substantial black finish and hood attached, which I enjoyed using for snapshots.
A-mode shooting is normal, and the self-timer and X-sync have been confirmed to be working.
Notes
* Due to the use of alternative batteries, a correction of about one stop is necessary for the ISO film speed setting. (Fine-tune based on the development results).
* Please adjust the notched part so that the rangefinder window is not blocked by the hood.
* The winding becomes heavier with film loaded. Please operate gently.
* The light seals (moltoprene) have been replaced, including the internal ones. Please open and close the back cover carefully with both hands until they settle in.
