Description

Royal Rangefinder Tominar 50mm f2.8

Lens has dirt

This is a Royal rangefinder film camera equipped with a fixed lens, the Tominar 50mm f2.8.
Considering its age, the exterior is in beautiful condition, and the high-quality metal parts retain their original luster.

The shutter operates at speeds corresponding to the shutter speed settings.
There is some dust inside the viewfinder, but the double image is clearly visible, allowing for accurate focusing.

The lens is a Tominar 50mm f2.8.
Tominar lenses are known for their excellent image quality, originating from a lineage closely related to Japanese optical manufacturers like Tomi Kōgaku (which later connected to Tomioka Optical). This is a rare lens that allows you to enjoy soft tonal gradations and classic image rendering.
The true value of this camera lies in its lens, making it a popular model among enthusiasts of old lenses.

There are wiping marks on the front element and some haze in the middle element, but these can sometimes contribute to the atmosphere of the resulting images. Recommended for those who understand the condition.
