Aketa has a long tradition as an ocarina maker since 1928. They were pioneers who, ahead of the world, improved the 10-hole ocarina, which originated in Italy, to a 12-hole design capable of precise pitch settings.
It can be said that they are the manufacturer that laid the foundation for the 12-hole ocarina used worldwide today.
Its popularity remains strong, and it's no exaggeration to say it's the most used ocarina in ocarina classes and groups in Japan. The characteristic of Aketa ocarinas is their simple tone, fitting the image of an ocarina. They produce bright, rich, and voluminous sounds.
Soprano G Key
There are various types of ocarinas, such as Soprano C, Soprano G, Soprano F, Alto C, and Alto G. The Soprano G key is characterized by its high-pitched, bird-like chirping sound. It is often used in ocarina ensemble performances.
As a side note, the Aketa Ocarina T-3G is a masterpiece that is more popular than other keys. Its tone, especially in the high register, is superb, and it might be designed to be the easiest to play among Aketa ocarinas.
I bought it because I was inspired after watching the anime My Neighbor Totoro, but I've never had a chance to play it and it's been stored away.
It seems to be around 8,000 yen on the official website.
I would like to pass it on to someone who will use it.
I am open to price negotiation considering shipping costs, etc. Please inquire in the comments section.
Thank you for looking.
