New, unused. Purchased from New Balance online.
The New Balance FuelCell Ohtani v1 (MSHO1LC2E) is a special model strongly inspired by the WBC.
Retail price: ¥22,000.

This is Shohei Ohtani's signature model released by New Balance as part of the International Baseball Pack series.

Based on the following points, this shoe appears to be envisioned as a WBC specification model:

1. Adoption of National Team (Japan) colors.
This model (MSHO1LC2E) features a navy x red x white color scheme. This is a special colorway designed to evoke the colors of the Japan national team (Samurai Japan) competing in international tournaments.

2. Positioned as part of the International Baseball Pack.
It is included in a special collection New Balance is rolling out for the 2026 international tournament season. Because it's a model themed around Ohtani competing on the world stage, many shops are introducing it as a WBC model or Samurai Japan color.

3. Design exclusive to Shohei Ohtani.
    (Two-way specification)
Signature Logo: The heel of the shoe features a special logo designed with an image of Ohtani rounding the bases.
Design for Two-Way Play: It's designed based on Ohtani's biometric data, balancing durability to withstand the toe drag of pitching with propulsive power for batting and running.

*Note: The design appears to be slightly on the snug side.*
