Description
Thank you for viewing my listing among so many items!

The material used is Hoteichiku bamboo from the base to the tip.
The base is a root-dug piece, and the section above the base has aligned nodes, as does the third section. The fourth section also has two nodes, but I've offset the nodes in the flexible mid-section of the rod tip for a unique feel. However, the nodes on the male ferrule side are aligned, and I've used a slender, well-filled material to achieve a beautiful green finish.

Many people use Madake bamboo for the rod tip, but it can become too stiff, which tends to reduce the enjoyment of fishing.
I believe you'll have more fun with a Hoteichiku tip. However,
it can be prone to developing quirks, so maintaining it will also be a learning experience.

The construction is of the irory (male ferrule) type, and it's designed for fishing for Tanago (bitterling) and Kakinomi-buna (a type of crucian carp).
This rod should provide a good fight for Tanago, and for Kakinomi-buna, you should feel the bend in the body of the rod.

★ This rod was made to order, but the base ferrule was scorched during the heat treatment, so I am offering it at a reduced price as flawed. This does not affect its use.
This scorched area will not be visible from the outside after it is finished with a Kisyagi (a decorative wrapping) and then silk thread binding and coating.

The binding positions have decorative lines.

There are many instructional videos on YouTube and other platforms. Please use them as a reference to apply your desired finish and decorative wrapping to complete the rod. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

◆ Two rod tips are included.
(The rod tips are inserted from the base and the section below the base (male ferrule side). The base tip will come out easily, but for the section below the base, hold the male ferrule side down with your thumb, index finger, and middle finger of your right hand, and gently tap the palm of your left hand with the palm of your right hand to release it. (Both sides are secured with tape.))

A bamboo ferrule is included, so please shave it to adjust. If you are concerned about using bamboo, you might consider replacing it with carbon.
(For thin Tanago rods, I recommend a carbon core over a glass core for the ferrule.)
