I bought these in a hurry when I went on a trip to Montreal, Quebec, because I thought I was going to freeze to death. I only used them for about 3 days out of my 4-night, 5-day trip, but the de-icing salt spread all over the city left marks on my shoes. When I washed them with hand soap in the airport restroom, they ended up looking like this in the photo.
