This is the Apia Foojin R ROCK&STORM.
This is a versatile rod that can handle a wide range of fishing, from shore casting for flatfish to surf fishing.
With its long length and 8 guides, it excels in long-distance casting. (Fewer guides generally allow for better long-distance casting.)
There is one modification. The top guide has been replaced with an Ocean Top type. It was tuned with extra care, anticipating the use of various PE lines. The tip was not broken and shortened; this is a positive tuning, not a repair. It's been adjusted to match recent rods. It's a great deal.
There are minor scratches from use, but no major damage that would lead to breakage.
As this is a discontinued rod, it's rarely seen even on the used market. Apia's designs from this era are also very cool.
