Bombo (Bolivian drum used in Andean folklore)

178.20 $
Description
This item was acquired about 30 years ago.

I purchased it through a friend when KALLAWAYA (a group consisting of Adrián Villanueva, Edgar Villarroel, Fernando Jiménez, Saúl Callejas, and a Bolivian guitarist whose name I can't recall) visited Japan.

When I bought it, it didn't come with a storage bag, so a friend's acquaintance made one for me.
It also didn't have drumsticks, so I made those myself.

As you can see from the photos, this bombo has a lower rim height compared to a standard bombo. The structure is made by laminating plywood, and the skin is animal hide with fur, so I believe it can be described as an autochthonous-style bombo, made to resemble an actual autochthonous bombo.

Diameter: Approximately 51 cm, Height: Approximately 61 cm

I haven't had the opportunity to use it in recent years, so I am putting it up for sale.
