This remote control is designed to access the inspection menu for SHARP AQUOS BD recorders, and can also be used for simple operations (power, channel selection, volume, playback, stop) of AQUOS TVs and recorders. It combines the functions of previous Type-1 to Type-4 remotes into one.
★Service mode remotes are usually no longer needed after recorder repairs. However, this model is a 3-way type that can also be used as a simple remote for AQUOS recorders and TVs. Please refer to images 2-11 for the function of each button.
Requires 2 AAA batteries (sold separately).
Although unused, there may be printing misalignment or scratches due to manufacturing variations.
Please use this for HDD replacement and various inspections.
●Compatible Models
BD-T○○, BD-W○○, BD-S○○, BD-H○○, BD-HW○○, NW, NS, NT〇〇, 2B-C〇〇 and others (○○ represents numbers) released after 2011.
Also compatible with some high-definition recorders released before 2010.
May not be compatible with some models.
BD-HDS/ HDW43, 45, 50 are not compatible.
Depending on the nature of the malfunction, it may not be possible to enter service mode.
*The remote control setting for this remote is '1'. If the remote control setting on the recorder or TV is set to anything other than '1', it will not operate. Please be sure to reset the remote control setting on the main unit to '1' before use.
▼How to use as a service mode remote
① Navigate to Home Menu → Settings → System Operation Test.
② Press the P.N.S button on this remote to display the service mode screen. (In normal mode, only the power button is used.)
③ Follow the on-screen instructions to operate.
*If you turn off the power after exiting service mode, it will cause a forced shutdown. Scheduled recordings will not function, and you will need to turn the power on again.
HDD replacement requires special knowledge and skills.
