El DeFò is a graphic novel written and illustrated by Cece Bell. The book is a loosely autobiographical account of Bell's childhood and life with hearing loss. All the characters in the story are anthropomorphic rabbits. In an interview with Horn Book Magazine [2], Cece Bell stated, What are rabbits known for? Big ears, great hearing, noting the irony of her chosen characters and their hearing impairment.
