Hitenkyu Kaiku is a thorough pursuit of a rod that allows for intense fishing that can win competitions.
In this process, a rod that combines seemingly contradictory elements such as lightweight despite being a power rod and able to cast soft bait despite having power became necessary.

Specifically, it features an irregular number of sections to achieve a new sensation tip-heavy action, Spiral X essential for a twist-resistant blank, a Tuftec Innocence tip (12-16) to balance casting performance and power, and the Shittori Ayiori Nigi II for unprecedented grip performance.
Furthermore, through repeated field testing by a project team centered around winners of the Shimano Japan Cup Helafishing Championship, each tournament angler meticulously refined the functions for their own competition rods, leading to the product's development.

Particularly highly praised aspects include its ability to accurately place bait even in sudden headwinds during casting, which can be unstable with stiff rods, and its lift performance that allows fish to slide straight to the front of the fishing spot without wobbling sideways when brought in, enabling them to be easily netted.

The newly developed Shittori Ayiori Nigi II grip has also received high praise for significantly improving grip power while being gentle on the palm, allowing for a firm grip even without gloves. Overall, all the anglers involved in its creation have given it their stamp of approval, declaring, This is truly a competition rod.
