This particular handpan has been expertly hammer-tuned by a craftsman, resulting in a beautiful sound and finish.

Tuned to A4 = 432Hz.
While modern instruments are typically tuned to A4 = 440Hz, classical music before 1939 was tuned to 432Hz.
Composers like Mozart and Vivaldi wrote their music in 432Hz.
The 432Hz tuning is said to sound gentler and more beautiful, with a healing effect. In modern times, Steiner education, for example, uses 432Hz instruments to teach children scales.

This is a new item, but it has been opened for photography, inspection, and cleaning.

The tuning has been checked and adjusted to the best of our ability.
No further tuning will be necessary after purchase.

The last image shows the frequencies for each note.
The center note is the fundamental, starting with D3.
The number below the D3 in the center is the actually measured frequency.
Please note that this measurement was taken using an Android app, so it is for reference only.
The range of notes can vary depending on how you play.

Tuning solely by frequency can sometimes lead to an unnatural sound.
Therefore, tuning has been done to ensure a natural sound that is pleasing to the ear.
