【Excellent Condition Junk】SONY SL-HF900 Hi-Band Beta - Powers On

Sony Betamax SL-HF900 Beta VCR (Excellent Condition, but Junk)

This is a high-end Sony Beta VCR released in 1985. It was a popular model at the time, retailing for approximately ¥240,000, featuring Hi-Band Beta compatibility, Hi-Fi stereo, and a jog shuttle.

[Current Condition]
The power turns on (indicator lamp on the front panel lights up). However, it does not perform any operations such as tape loading, playback, or rewinding.

Specific Symptoms: The unit does not load tapes even when inserted, and buttons do not respond. There is a slight scratch (approx. 2.5 cm) on the surface of the display screen. The UHF terminal is rusted.

As it has not been used for many years, potential issues include belt deterioration, seized loading mechanism, faulty power IC (STK5441), and sensor failures. This item is suitable for those with repair experience or for parts.
