Commercial Blu-rays can be played.
Recorded DVDs-R can be played.
All checked with software owned by the seller.
All software used was in good condition. However, in the unlikely event that
rental software may play even with scratches or dirt, there is a possibility that scratched DVDs-R may not play. All software owned by the seller played successfully. As a player, there are no issues with my unit.

As a recorder:
When turned on, the red light blinks for 7-8 seconds before operation.

When turned off, it takes time for the red light to go out.

The red light remains on after recording is complete.

Playback of recorded programs stops or the image jumps.

An error occurred when burning to DVD-R.

The hard disk may be faulty, not the drive. It might be repairable by someone who can replace parts.

The unit occasionally freezes and becomes inoperable.

The unit has been initialized for this listing. Some issues may be improved with re-setup.
