These are the classic Performer Series Bongos from LP (Latin Percussion). With their bright natural finish and beautiful chrome hardware, they offer pro-quality sound while remaining easy to play. Made from high-quality Siam Oak, they achieve rich expressiveness, from the bright, clear highs characteristic of bongos to the full-bodied, warm lows.
The body is made of Siam Oak, a dense wood known for its excellent resonance. This material balances a clear attack with rich mid-range tones, allowing for a prominent sound in both solo and ensemble playing. The 6-3/4 inch and 8-inch drum combination is easy for beginners to handle, providing a natural feel regardless of hand size.
The rims feature LP's proprietary EZ-Curve Rim. The edges of the rim are rounded, making them less likely to cause hand injury during play. This design ensures comfort during long practice sessions or live performances, making them a recommended choice for those starting out with bongos. The drumheads are tightly stretched, producing a tight and bright sound.
The hardware boasts a high-quality chrome plating, adding a premium look. The metal components (tension castings, brackets, wing bolts, etc.) are robust and designed to withstand repeated tuning and transport. Additionally, a steel bottom and stable rubber posts prevent wobbling during play.
The overall condition is good. As a used item, there are minor scuffs and slight dullness on the body and metal parts, but no damage that affects playability. The tuning mechanism functions correctly, and the drumheads are in good condition. The item has been cleaned and adjusted and is ready for immediate use upon arrival.
