Kongo Carbon Tenkara Rod, Size 10, 3.00m

Thank you for viewing our product page.

Brand: Sakurai Fishing Tackle Sakura SAKURA
Model: Kongo Tenkara
Length: #10 (3m)
List Price: Approx. ¥33,000 (current model)

This is a Tenkara rod from Sakurai Fishing Tackle, a long-established and high-end Japanese fishing tackle manufacturer. The length is marked as #10, which is 3 meters. With its telescopic design and a collapsed length of 37cm, this ultra-compact Tenkara rod is extremely easy to handle when navigating upstream in mountain streams and headwaters.

In recent years, Sakurai has gained recognition for its collaborations, including a joint production with the apparel brand SOUTH2 WEST8, which is active in the Hokkaido Tenkara fishing scene, and a collaboration with the globally renowned skate brand SUPREME in connection with the same brand.

In actual use, I alternated between 3.6m and 3.4m rods, so this rod was used only once and has no noticeable scratches or chips.

Although the case shows the price before tax, this listing is at a lower price compared to the tax-inclusive price. We would be happy to pass this on to someone who will cherish and use it.

Excerpt from the manufacturer's website below:

With a flexible yet straight casting action, its unique suppleness reduces lost fish and possesses the rod power to withstand the pull of large rainbow trout.
The Kongo Tenkara features an antique-style design with a gold stepped finish and a dark brown body.

The distinctively shaped cork grip adheres to the hand and is easy to hold. Combined with its lightness, it offers even easier handling and a crisp casting feel.
