Cowbell Bell Nepal Antique India Asia Art Old Tools Old Iron Folk Craft

This is an antique cowbell.
The era is unknown, but it has a very rustic iron surface.
There are traces of verdigris mixed with the red rust, so it may contain copper.
Faint patterns from stamping remain.
I initially thought it might be from India, where iron products are popular, but a collector who deals with many Southeast Asian items told me it was from near Nepal, so I've identified it as Nepalese.

The clapper is roughly carved from a hard wood, like oak.
Despite its appearance, it produces a mellow and resonant pon sound.
It would surely create a pleasant sound when hung as a door bell or at the eaves.
