Product Overview
The JVC KR-M800 is a professional-use videocassette recorder (VCR) that utilizes the MII (M-two) format.
MII is a component broadcast standard developed by Panasonic, with products also offered by JVC (Japan Victor), using metal tapes. It was primarily used from the late 1980s to the 1990s in broadcast stations and video production sites as a standard competing with Betacam.

MII Format: While having the same cassette shape as VHS, it uses metal tape capable of recording broadcast-quality component signals.
Professional Design: As broadcast equipment, it features a highly durable mechanism, timecode management functions, and an hour meter (usage time counter).
