I recall purchasing this about 30 years ago from Inagaki, the former Japanese distributor.
I used it as my main stream rod for several years. Personally, I find it to be a rod with a smooth, natural action that makes fishing enjoyable. I think it's well-suited for fishing with line extended in relatively open streams when paired with a 3wt line.
My preference for stream rods changed, and I haven't used it much for the past 25 years, keeping it in storage at home.

I felt the grip was a bit too thick, so I replaced the original cigar grip with a Loud Cigar grip. Also, the reel seat rings were small, and the foot of a CFO123 reel wouldn't fit all the way in, causing the reel to detach and fall during fishing. Therefore, I also replaced the reel seat. The original was Zebrawood.
I performed these replacements myself.
