Description
The rod has been modified with Fuji Kogyo Low Rider guides from the 3rd guide up from the butt, and Fuji Kogyo single foot guides for the remaining 9 guides, totaling 13 guides plus a top guide. To withstand rough fights, each guide is wrapped with thread of the same color and finished with a thick application of Toho Epoxy Coat using a Fuji Kogyo finishing motor.

This system is designed for PE lines.
We recommend PE line sizes from approximately 0.8 to 1.5.

The butt guide is a Fuji Kogyo PLCSG-16M. The 2nd and 3rd guides above it are also PLCSG models, but in smaller sizes.
When using PE line, it offers excellent line release and allows for long casts.

The original rod had a severe tip-heavy balance. To address this, we have embedded and glued Fuji Kogyo rubber end parts and a balancer to the butt end. As shown in the last photo, even with a relatively light spinning reel of 200g, the balance point is brought to the hand, making the tip feel very light. This makes vertical handling easier and reduces wrist fatigue.

The total weight, including the balancer and the additional guides, is 235g. However, when a reel is attached, the tip-heaviness is resolved, and personally, I believe this offers the best balance.

The original epoxy where the guides were attached could not be completely removed, and there are some faint white residues visible upon close inspection. However, the blank itself does not appear to have any deep scratches that could lead to breakage. The joint also still has good play and secures firmly.

The guide positions have been determined through repeated testing, so we believe the balance is good. However, please consider this as a personally modified item and understand its nature.

Although this is a rockfish rod, the original blank has a slight flexibility, making it suitable for eging and seabass fishing. I have also used it for long casts with large soft plastics like the Imo 60 for bass fishing. It also has good sensitivity.

No claims, no returns.
