The succession to Ganjiro comes in 2015, a year of deep connection, as Shochiku, which had a profound involvement in its founding, celebrates its 120th anniversary, and it also marks the 400th anniversary of the Dotonbori River, which flows in front of the Osaka Shochikuza. Kanjaku confessed that he couldn't help but grin when he was first called Ganjiro-han! on the final day of the September Minamiza performance. This succession, long anticipated, and the press conference filled with joy, further heightened the anticipation for the opening.
