Written by: Sugako Hashida x Directed by: Ishii Fukuko - A masterpiece play by the golden duo, Kataki Doshi, is revived with a performance by Naomi Fujiyama and Reiko Takashima!

Ishii Fukuko's 99th Birthday Commemorative Performance of Kataki Doshi is set to be staged with a performance by Naomi Fujiyama and Reiko Takashima!
Kataki Doshi, by the golden duo of writer Sugako Hashida and director Ishii Fukuko, is a masterpiece play that has been revived many times since its premiere in 1978. This production, which was highly acclaimed in April 2013 at Osaka's Shin Kabukiza Theater with Naomi Fujiyama and Yoshiko Mita, returns after 12 years with a new cast from August 30, 2025 (Saturday) to September 21, 2025 (Sunday).

Kame, the proprietress of a bar in old Tokyo, and Otsuru, the owner of a kimono shop. Two strong-willed mothers with completely different upbringings and personalities. These two mothers get into a huge fight over their son and daughter's marriage!
True to the style of the Sugako Hashida x Ishii Fukuko collaboration, the play is packed with slapstick comedy, parental affection, tear-jerking family drama, and lines that resonate with everyone.
The two mothers become rivals out of love for their children, and eventually become comrades.
Naomi Fujiyama reprises her role as Kame, and Reiko Takashima joins as Otsuru, promising a new chemical reaction.
Please look forward to the spectacular battle between these two mothers as they clash head-on for the first time.
