BALBOA oil is an ultra-low viscosity, high lubrication, high penetration oil from BORED METHOD DIVISION's oil product line.
By improving upon the concepts of past products like KRAKEN oil and GOLYAT oil and changing the base oil to an ester synthetic oil, it synergizes with an extremely thin oil film to greatly improve the coefficient of friction. This oil focuses on lubricity, aiming to quickly penetrate and flow over a wide area.

The oil film strength is designed for finesse to regular weight fishing reels in freshwater environments, targeting smooth and responsive rotation of spool and line rollers. The oil's viscosity resistance does not hinder rotation, and it is designed to maximize the prevention of oil film loss due to volatilization or scattering.
While primarily intended for freshwater use, the included water-resistant and rust-inhibiting additives provide high rust prevention effects even in saltwater and brackish environments. It also delays lubrication failure and rust development in case of accidental submersion or unexpected heavy rain.
By using an ester synthetic base oil, it achieves strong chemical adhesion and oil film properties on metal. Furthermore, with the effect of viscoelastic additives, it also possesses physical adhesion. By focusing on lubricity as its main target, it offers superior lubrication far exceeding that of mineral or synthetic oils.
