The following is my personal subjective opinion: The grease is on the firmer side with a slightly stronger viscosity, reminiscent of butter at a slightly chilled temperature.
When the fish pulls harder than the set drag value, it smoothly releases line. However, for sudden, instantaneous pulls, instead of immediately releasing drag, it creates a brief pause, allowing the rod to do its work and making hooking and controlling the fish easier.

You might think the amount is small, but you don't need to apply a lot. This amount should be more than enough to maintain a single drag plate reel.
