Sanshin (Okinawan Lute) - Nanpu Style - Striped Ebony with Genuine Skin
Haebaru-style Sanshin
The material of the neck is high-quality striped ebony.
It is finished slightly thicker than a standard Haebaru-style,
making it very easy to play.
The craftsmanship is also superb,
with a shape that is captivating to behold.
The body uses a thinner type
than the Makabe-style,
and the skin appears to be high-quality skin
stretched slightly loosely.
It has a wonderful tone,
perfect for the melancholic songs of folk music.
The bridge is
a high-quality ebony bridge.
It was made by
Ryukyu Gakki Matayoshi,
a long-established sanshin shop in Naha.
There is a pencil marking on the neck dated 2024/7/12.
This is a truly wonderful sanshin.
I originally purchased it as a spare,
but since I have two other sanshin,
I rarely have the opportunity to play this one.
I am listing it because it would be a shame for it to go unused.
As you can see from the photos,
there are almost no scratches on the frets of the neck,
and it is in almost unused condition.
It will be shipped with a hard case.
Thank you for your consideration.
