This is an Okinawan sanshin made by Ryukyu Gakki Matayoshi.
According to Matayoshi, this sanshin was made over 10 years ago.
At that time, they were only made with Yushi wood or ebony, and given the weight of the neck at 470g, it is likely made of Kokuboku (ebony).
Furthermore, the artificial skin used also appears to be a type no longer in use. Upon researching online, some individuals have given this particular skin design a Special A rating, considering it to be of very high quality.
I considered using it myself, but I would like to pass it on to someone who will cherish it.
