Electric Reel Cord & Makita Compatible Battery Adapter

This is a power adapter for electric reels that allows you to use Makita genuine and compatible batteries, along with a power cord for electric reels that can also be used for general purposes.

The cord can be swapped with one that has alligator clips, so if your compatible battery runs out and you don't have a spare, you can connect to the boat's power source or, if available, the car battery on board.

The connection is a simple two-pin type. As shown in the photos, it has been tested and confirmed to work with Daiwa Seaborg 400 and Seaborg MJ600, and Shimano Force Master 400.
(I cannot confirm compatibility with larger Daiwa & Shimano reels as I do not own them.)

Lithium-ion batteries from fishing tackle manufacturers can cost ¥50,000 to ¥70,000, but compatible batteries can be replaced at a lower cost when their lifespan is over.

Batteries and chargers can be purchased for around ¥3,000 each. Naturally, with those batteries and chargers, you can also use tools such as impact wrench drills for changing car tires, sanders, and air compressors at a low cost.

Please consider this with a broad perspective.

Also, the battery is only compatible with 14.4V batteries; it does not support HiKOKI or Bosch 18V batteries.

It's easy to use!
Attach the Makita genuine or compatible battery to the adapter.
Plug one end of the power cord into the electric reel.
Simply connect the other end to the adapter's socket.
(It has a screw-on connection, similar to electric reels.)

Although the connections on both ends of the cord look similar, they have different sizes, so you won't mix them up.

The power cord is a long type, approximately 270cm.
The alligator clips are approximately 40cm.

For cleaning the power cord, do not wash it with water. Only wipe it with a damp towel, as per the instruction manual for electric reel manufacturers.

In actual fishing, I use it in a simple bag, like those sold at 100-yen shops for bento boxes, as shown in the photo. It has worked without any problems even with sea spray during rough weather or heavy rain.

Of course, the power cord can also be used as a spare cord.
