Yaeyama Black Wood Chinen Daiku Model Sanshin

This is a Chinen Daiku sanshin that was used by a sanshin teacher.
It is made of Yaeyama black wood and is solidly constructed.
There are no warps or bends.
The previous owner stated that it was played regularly until last year.
If you wish, I can re-string it and play it for you, and then provide comments.

As this is an older Chinen Daiku model, its dimensions are slightly larger than those currently on the market.
While it may be a matter of personal preference, it is quite affordable for those who appreciate older sanshin.
Furthermore, the wood itself has significant value, so you may consider reshaping or modifying it to your liking.
We can also discuss refinishing options.
Synthetic skin.

It will be delivered after thorough maintenance.
The doumaki (body wrap) will be replaced with a new one.
Please leave a comment if you have any requests, such as changing to a real skin (hon-bari).
The name of the teacher who used it will be provided to the buyer.
