This was assembled with the intention of using it as a backup machine for server operations.

The choice of this unit was based on the following criteria: maximizing E-cores, sufficient memory and storage, PCIe expansion via USB4, dual 2.5G network ports, and a modifiable BIOS (especially for power, voltage, and core settings).

Although it's an ES (Engineering Sample) model, based on benchmarks, I honestly can't tell the difference from the 255H model (which is understandable as the meaning of ES has changed significantly since the Ultra series. This is because they can't produce masks as easily as they used to...). The clock speeds are good, and no particular errors have been observed. The only difference is that the product code is not the official model number.

Benchmark results from testing are almost identical to the 255H, which is somewhat disappointing for the 255H. It's only about 10% stronger in full-core operation benchmarks. Despite having two P-cores, the difference is small. Furthermore, looking at the power consumption logs, the 235H-ES consumes about 10-15% less power than the 255H... Since I handle tasks requiring many cores on my main 285H machine, I feel I'm somewhat underutilizing the 255H!!!
