Second Generation Takenaga Ebinuma Meikoto Ryu 2 Shaku 1 Sun Pipe ■ Standard Size Pipe

Second Generation Ebinuma Takeage Me 2 Shaku 1 Sun - True Length Pipe. Cap is Size 5.

Please note that this is a true length pipe.
Standard Tuning Pipe: 65.44cm
True Length Pipe: 63.6cm
A true length pipe cannot be played in ensemble with Western instruments.
True length pipes may currently be considered Gara-kei shakuhachi.

It is possible that many people involved in folk music (min'yo) still use true length pipes.

This is not an antique.
This is a fully functional, actively used instrument that has been used for 30 years in the world of folk music, where true length pipes are still in demand.

Please understand the above before purchasing.

I met Master Ebinuma Takeage in my 30s and have used his works for about 30 years. I am now listing this item as I am winding down my performance activities.

This is not an antique, but a fully functional instrument that has been actively used in performances for many years.
There are no scratches, but there is age-related dirt (to a degree that is natural for a shakuhachi, as it is not an antique).

Due to its age, there is some unevenness in the black lacquer near the mouthpiece.
I believe this does not affect playability.
