Uchina Jōtō Sanshin - Mr. Shunsei Mekari
299.00 $
Description
Okinawa Sanshin by Master Mengaru
Featured on Jounetsu Tairiku (Mainichi Broadcasting System's documentary program)
Changed to sell as a finished Sanshin.
Craftsman: Harumasa Mengaru
Style: Makabe-gata
Material: Yushi wood
Finish: Black lacquer (Hiyane-tei)
There is a slight twist, and some notes do not sound as a Sanshin.
It is believed that the wood is still settling and may require repair.
(It seems that after a few more years, once the wood has stabilized, it can be repaired and used as a Sanshin. However, Mr. Mengaru is not currently offering repairs, so it is being sold as-is.)
Please purchase for display purposes only.
*We pray for the repose of Mr. Mengaru's soul.
