This is a Shamisen Bachi (plectrum) made of genuine tortoiseshell.
Its wide opening and length, along with its solid weight, make it an excellent match for Tsugaru Shamisen.
It is said that good quality items are becoming rarer each year, and modern instruments are not of the same quality as they used to be, being overtaken by artificial materials. The quality of the material ultimately affects the tone. Many people search for good quality items made from rare materials in the used market.
We hope this will appeal to those who can appreciate the difference.
We highly recommend this for players of Nagauta, Folk Song, and Tsugaru Shamisen.
