Tsugaru Shamisen Bachi (Genuine Tortoiseshell with Black Buffalo Horn Base)

This is a Fujishirushi black buffalo horn base, single-piece tortoise shell shamisen pick for Tsugaru shamisen. It is a very expensive item that I purchased a long time ago at the Japanese musical instrument section of Hanshin Department Store in Osaka. At the time of purchase, I didn't notice because the sizes of the picks being sold were all very similar, but when I had it examined by a master, I found out it was a little short and not a good fit for my hand. Returns and exchanges were not possible, so it ended up being stored in a chest unused. I found it while organizing my belongings after retiring. I believe it would be a good fit for a woman (who generally has smaller hands than men). It is a very expensive and good quality item, with a good weight, and I think it would be easy to play.
