PC-9821Lt2 / Win3.1 & DOS6.2 / LCD Good / Bonus AC

This is a listing for a retro NEC laptop, the 98NOTE LIGHT PC-9821Lt2/7A main unit. A handmade AC adapter is included as a bonus (last photo).

When powered on, it beeps and displays the menu screen (photo 2), allowing you to boot into Windows 3.1 (photos 3-4) or MS-DOS 6.2 (photo 6). Please note that this model does not support sound, so you will only hear beep sounds. The hard disk is 720MB and the memory is 8.0MB.

The screen display shows no signs of deterioration such as vinegar syndrome and is in very good condition for its age. The keyboard and 98 pad also operated without any issues. The built-in battery appears to be non-functional, so please use the AC adapter at all times.

The floppy disk drive successfully operated with 3-MODE (1.44MB, 1.2MB, 640KB) floppy disks.

The main unit has some scratches and signs of use commensurate with its age, but overall it is in decent condition.

The bonus AC adapter is a prototype I created through trial and error, as genuine ones are difficult to obtain. This PC was powered on with the handmade adapter for the photos in this listing, but as I have not tested its long-term operation, it is strictly an as-is bonus item with no guarantee of performance. Please use it at your own risk.

I have not checked every aspect of this PC for this listing. As it is an old item, please consider that there may be undiscovered defects before making a purchase.
