Vintage Shamisen Set with Instructional Books and Taisho Era Materials, Japanese Instrument, Skin Attached, with Plectrum, Old Books, Sheet Music, Japanese Binding, Showa Retro, Vintage

Description

This is a vintage shamisen set.
In addition to the main instrument, it comes with a wealth of valuable materials including instructional books, sheet music, and Japanese bound books.

The included booklets contain entries from the Taisho to early Showa periods, making them highly valuable resources for understanding shamisen culture and playing methods of that era. The set also includes red and green Japanese bound books, handwritten sheet music, and more, making it an attractive set for collectors and researchers.

The shamisen itself measures approximately 97cm in length, 20cm in width, and 10cm in depth. A plectrum, parts, case, and wooden parts believed to be for a stand are also included. While the specific school and brand are unknown, it is a shamisen with a distinct atmosphere as a Japanese instrument from an old era.

Regarding the condition, there are signs of age such as dirt, scuffs, discoloration, sun fading, tears and stains on the booklets, and writing. The condition of the shamisen's skin and its tension have not been checked, so it is being sold as-is. Please consider it with the understanding that adjustments and maintenance may be necessary.

This item is not only suitable for practical use but also creates a wonderful atmosphere as a display piece, shop fixture, traditional Japanese house interior, or prop for photography. We highly recommend this item to those who love Japanese instruments, old books, and antique materials.
