[Shamisen Condition]
Purchased about 6 years ago for approximately 400,000 yen. This shamisen has undergone complete maintenance. It is one item from my collection of Tochibeni-Kōki instruments. The adjustments were not partial repairs but were performed perfectly by a skilled craftsman. I have only played it a few times for testing.

No Kamberi (wear on the neck). No chips on the Tenjin (headstock). No warping of the neck. No cracks or looseness in the neck joint. No Meichigai (unevenness in the wood grain). No looseness in the body joint.

The Inukawa on both sides is high-quality dog skin with a characteristic texture. Theitomaki have been replaced with new ones and hold tuning well. As the instrument is old, there are some minor scratches and discoloration, but both the neck and body have been polished.

It produces a deep and profound sound. You can enjoy the unique world of Tochibeni-Kōki, which differs from Kōki or Shitan wood.

New Tochibeni-Kōki instruments are currently unavailable, but I have heard their value is close to 2 million yen. It is rare to find a fully repaired instrument with such a prominent Tochibeni grain. I have also heard that new Tochibeni-Kōkiitomaki are almost impossible to find. Furthermore, it is a rare Yotsubure neck, and a temporary joint is also included.

I am currently downsizing my collection due to my age, but I am still hesitant to part with it. I would appreciate it if you understand the value of this shamisen and would be pleased to do business with you.
