Nohkan by Hōsei Seiyoshi

I received this Noh flute from my Noh master when I started learning Noh music.
According to my teacher, he chose a thinner pipe that would be easy for women and beginners to handle.
I practiced with this flute for the first few years.
It was maintained by my teacher about three years ago.
It is ready to play immediately.

After that, as I practiced more, I began to understand my preferred sound, and I also received more flutes from my seniors, so I prioritized playing those. Therefore, this flute has not been used much recently.
I am offering it to someone who will cherish it.

The length is approximately 39.6 cm. It feels a few millimeters longer than my other Noh flutes.
The mouthpiece is a dragon.
Although it is difficult to see, there is a small inscription of Seiyu.

The sound is soft and gentle, without any harshness.
The hishigi (a specific sound effect) also comes out well. The high notes have a deep, resonant quality that feels soothing.
For the low notes, I personally found it took a little practice, but it produced a smooth sound after wetting the pipe before playing.
Personally, I believe this is a flute that rewards the player's effort.
I am hesitant to part with it, but I have decided to list it.

The thickness also gives the impression of being slimmer than my other Noh flutes.
