Asano Taiko

Asano Taiko refers to Asano Taiko Gakki Co., Ltd., a specialized Japanese drum manufacturer founded in 1609. For over 400 years, they have inherited the techniques of Japanese drum making, handling everything from the felling of raw timber to leather processing, lacquer coating, leather stretching, studding, and sales.

This taiko is an improved version of the barrel-bodied taiko, devised by Eitetsu Hayashi for stage performance. It is often used as part of a drum set, placed on a stand. A variety of color combinations for the body and ropes can be enjoyed.
