Purchased about five years ago from an acquaintance for ¥150,000.

The Kotsuzumi is a framed taiko drum with an hourglass-shaped body.
This Kotsuzumi is made of synthetic leather, making it less susceptible to temperature and humidity, and easy to handle and store.
By tightening or loosening the shirabe (cords), the tension of the drumheads is adjusted to change the pitch and resonance of the sound.
As an instrument that expresses unique resonance and tempo, it is also used in Kabuki, festival music (Ohayashi), and folk performing arts.
The body is made of plastic, making it easy to handle, and it is also recommended for educational use in schools.
